Baby lobsters released
Falmouth’s Atlantic Scuba oversaw the operation on the wreck of the Volnay, which lies in about 20m of water near the Lizard Peninsula.
There boss Mark Milburn and a team of local divers placed 450 baby lobsters provided by the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow, as part of a sustained breeding programme steered by the hatchery.
The team has now placed 2950 baby lobsters in Falmouth Bay over the past 18 months.
It put 1200 on the Hera wreck off St Mawes last November, 1000 on Old Wall reef last summer and 300 on the Manacles reef 18 months ago.
